Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how agent.spot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, services, and API (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Email address (when you contact us or register an account)
  • Cookies (for session and preferences)
  • Analytics data (via tools like Google Analytics)
  • UTM parameters (for tracking marketing campaigns)
  • Feedback and form submissions

2. How We Use the Data

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Improve our search and user experience
  • Monitor usage and prevent abuse
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests
  • Analyze marketing effectiveness

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in
  • Track usage patterns
  • Store preferences
You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings.

4. Official MCP Endpoint

Our official Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint at https://mcp.agent.spot/mcp requires no account and does not intentionally request personal or sensitive information. It is used by AI assistants on your behalf, so the requests we receive come from the assistant's infrastructure rather than from your device. The endpoint is public: it does not authenticate users, assign a user or session identifier, or receive your account identifier from the assistant provider. You should not include personal or sensitive information in a tool request because the tools do not need it.

For each call we record only:

  • which tool was called, whether it succeeded, how long it took, and how many results it returned
  • the name and version of the AI client, as the client reports them
  • aggregate counts describing how often our index had no data for a requested property
  • the name of a product that was requested but is not in our index

Short-lived operational logs may also contain requirement text supplied to recommendation tools, an unresolved product name, or an identifier included in a diagnostic error message. These values are used to diagnose failures and gaps in our index. Our longer-term analytics contain aggregate counts and operational measurements; the unresolved product name described above is the only tool-input value stored there. Product names and identifiers are catalog data, not personal information, and we do not associate these records with an identifiable user, account, or session.

We do not store the full text of a general search query or task in our longer-term analytics, nor do we receive or store the conversation you had with the assistant, your account identifier with the assistant provider, or authentication headers. Your IP address is not used to build a profile.

5. Sharing of Data

We may share your data with:

  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Hosting providers and infrastructure services
  • AI model providers used by recommendation, comparison, and workflow-planning tools. Through our OpenRouter integration, they receive only the task-specific goal, requirements, comparison criteria, or use case needed for the operation, together with relevant excerpts from indexed product profiles; they do not receive your full assistant conversation, assistant account identifier, user or session identifier, or authentication headers from us.
  • Contractors or vendors that help us operate the Service
We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Withdraw consent where applicable
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@agent.spot.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Revisions will be posted on this page with a new date. Your continued use of the Service after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
