Slop Mop

Slop Mop is a free, open-source Chrome extension designed to enhance your LinkedIn browsing experience by filtering out low-value content. Key features include: • Pre-reads LinkedIn posts before they appear • Explains why a post was flagged as low-value • Offers options to hide, highlight, reveal, or override content • Not a content origin detector, but a bad-writing detector This tool helps users reduce clutter in their feeds, allowing them to focus on more relevant and engaging posts. It operates based on a decision model that evaluates posts for specific indicators of low-quality writing, ensuring that useful content, regardless of its creation method, remains visible. Ideal for LinkedIn users who are frustrated with the increasing amount of unengaging or templated content and seek greater control over their feed's quality. Slop Mop is a research project, not a commercial product, offering a transparent and customizable approach to managing your social feed.
