Earshot

Earshot transforms an unused phone into a dedicated home sound monitor. Key features include: • Detects specific household sounds like smoke alarms and doorbells • Customizable sound recognition based on user descriptions • Instant alerts sent to all household members' phones • Local processing ensures audio privacy • Offline detection notifications This innovative application provides peace of mind by keeping you informed of critical home events, no matter where you are. Simply place a spare phone in a relevant location, configure the sounds you want it to detect from a pre-defined list, or describe unique sounds in your own words. The system then listens for these specific audio cues, such as a baby crying, glass breaking, or a washing machine finishing its cycle. Upon detection, every member of your household receives an immediate alert on their phone, including options for urgent notifications that bypass Do Not Disturb settings. The service ensures audio data remains entirely on the local device, prioritizing privacy. Ideal for homeowners, pet owners, and families who need remote monitoring of their living space for safety, convenience, or accessibility.
