TokenFuel
Private AI coding usage, right in your Mac menu bar
TokenFuel is a dedicated native Mac menu bar dashboard designed for managing usage across various coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, OpenCode, and Windsurf. Key features include:
• Local usage metadata analysis
• Trustworthy service limits and health monitoring
• Monthly history tracking and usage rhythms
• Reusable code snippet storage
• Optional weekly usage leagues
This application privately reads local usage metadata, providing a comprehensive overview of your consumption patterns for each coding platform. It displays limits for Codex and Windsurf, official service status for Claude, OpenAI/Codex, Gemini, and Windsurf, along with alerts for any outages. Users can monitor exhaustion rates, time-based usage rhythms, model configurations, and continuous usage streaks, all from a discreet menu bar interface.
TokenFuel prioritizes user privacy; all prompts, code, filenames, raw logs, and saved items remain securely on your Mac. It never uploads sensitive data, only reading usage metadata from folders you explicitly select. The optional league feature only publishes anonymous IDs, aliases, scope, self-aggregated weekly token totals, session counts, continuous usage, model family summaries, and refresh times. The tool also offers a local storage box for snippets, supporting search, filters, pinning, editing, and copy counts. You can export private aggregated reports in CSV, JSON, or standalone HTML formats.
Built for developers and coders, TokenFuel helps individuals and teams effectively manage and understand their coding tool usage. It supports Apple Silicon and Intel, with a native SwiftUI app, and offers 10 terminal-inspired accent colors for personalization.
