Parrot

Parrot is a free, open-source meeting recorder for Mac designed to provide immediate assistance during calls. It operates by capturing audio directly from your Mac and transcribing it locally on your device, ensuring privacy with no external bot joining your sessions. Key capabilities include real-time answer suggestions, where Parrot presents relevant information from your documents, such as pricing sheets or FAQs, the moment a client asks a question. This helps you respond accurately and efficiently without post-call research. Beyond live support, Parrot provides a post-call report summarizing promises made and questions that may have been overlooked. You can also interact with your past meetings through a chat interface, leveraging local models like Claude with Ollama or connecting to your own server. Parrot prioritizes user control and data privacy. This tool is ideal for sales professionals, customer support teams, and anyone conducting frequent online meetings who needs instant access to information and a reliable way to review call interactions without an account or subscription.
