Logic Pro MCP
Control Logic Pro with Claude, Cursor, and AI agents
Logic Pro MCP provides a local, fail-closed Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed for enhanced music production. It offers a live readback of Logic Pro projects and stateful control over tracks, MIDI, transport, and the mixer.
Key capabilities include creating instrument and Drummer tracks, generating MIDI sequences, assigning patches, and setting tempo. The system prioritizes reliable operations, providing target identity, confirmation levels, and readback for high-risk changes, ensuring that agents can verify modifications against the active project rather than treating the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) as a black box. This allows for precise control and understanding of every action taken within Logic Pro.
Beyond composition, Logic Pro MCP facilitates the planning, export, and inspection of audio artifacts. Users can dry-run export plans, resume interrupted batches, and analyze generated files. It unifies control across seven native macOS channels, including MCU, Accessibility, AppleScript, CoreMIDI, CGEvent, Scripter, and MIDI Key Commands, all routed through a compact MCP interface.
This tool is ideal for music producers, sound engineers, and developers building custom agents who require granular, verifiable control over Logic Pro sessions, enabling more precise and trustworthy creative and technical workflows.
