Fresnel transforms your video feed by integrating virtual lighting into any scene. Key capabilities include: • Real-time virtual light insertion • Adjustable lighting scenarios (studio, candlelight, colorful setups) • On-device depth estimation for 3D scene understanding • Placement of up to four virtual studio lights • Live rendering into a virtual camera for use in video applications This tool analyzes your camera feed in real-time to understand the three-dimensional shape of your environment, from your face to the background. This depth information allows you to precisely position virtual studio lights, which then cast realistic light and shadows, producing a physically accurate lighting effect. Light wraps around subjects, creates soft shadows, generates specular highlights, and dims as objects move through the scene. Fresnel enables you to fully customize your scene's illumination. Add up to four lights, drag them to any position, and adjust their depth. Choose from an unlimited color palette to create warm key lights, cool fills, or vibrant neon rims. The system accurately simulates shadows, highlights, and contact shading based on real scene geometry. You can choose to display the virtual light sources for a stylized appearance or hide them for a clean, professional look. Once installed, Fresnel's built-in virtual camera can be selected in any video conferencing or streaming application, such as Zoom, OBS, Google Meet, or Teams, allowing your relit video to be used seamlessly wherever your webcam functions.
